Supervisor of Elections, Chris H. Chambless, reminds Clay County residents that Tuesday, February 20, is the deadline to register to vote in the Presidential Preference Primary (PPP) Election on March 19.

This is also the deadline to change your political party affiliation. Florida is a Closed Primary state, and voters are limited to choosing candidates from their own party. Only the Republican Party will participate in the Presidential Preference Primary, since the Democratic Party already selected its candidate for president.

It’s easier than ever to register to vote, change your party, or update your signature at RegistertoVoteFlorida.gov. Registration forms are available to download at ClayElections.gov or pick one up at the Elections Office in Green Cove Springs. They’re also available at all public libraries, most government agencies, post offices, and public assistance offices. All voters are encouraged to review and update their information prior to Election Day.

If you have questions, or need more information or call our office at (904) 269-6350 or
