Join the SOE Office for the Logic & Accuracy Test for the 2026 MST Election

Clay County Supervisor of Elections Chris H. Chambless invites the public to attend the Logic and Accuracy Test (L&A) for the April 14 Municipal Super Tuesday Election. The L&A will be held at the Supervisor of Elections Office in Green Cove Springs this Friday, April 10, at 9 AM.

As outlined in Florida Election Law, voting equipment is thoroughly tested prior to each election to confirm that the voting system is correctly programmed and all the equipment being used in an election is working properly. This includes the testing of the DS300 optical scanners used during in-person voting, the DS950 high-speed scanners, which tabulate Vote by Mail ballots, and the ADA-compatible ExpressVote ballot marking devices.

During L&A testing, elections staff use pre-marked test ballots to produce pre-determined results for the L&A. The test ballots are then processed through the voting equipment and, because the results are already known, staff can certify that the equipment is accurately counting and recording votes. Upon completion, the Canvassing Board confirms the results and that the test was 100% successful. The equipment is then sealed and kept under strict 24/7 surveillance until itโ€™s deployed for voting.

The L&A test allows voters, candidates, media, and community members to observe the process. The public is encouraged to attend and learn about a crucial part of the Florida elections process. The Supervisor of Elections Office wants Clay County voters to cast their ballots with confidence. Weโ€™re dedicated to the process of conducting fair, secure, and transparent elections
